Hospitality & Retail
The environment is part of the offer
New entertainment and hospitality precincts across South East Queensland give patrons more choice than ever, and they are more aware of the places they spend their leisure time. The challenge is to create accessible, generous and inviting spaces for dining, drinking and staying.
A venue's environment is as vital to its success as the menu, the service and the rooms. Good hospitality architecture optimises operations while creating the vibe, views and atmosphere people come back for. We have seen clients quadruple food and beverage turnover after a successful renovation.
With over 40 years of hospitality work for developers, operators and business owners, our portfolio spans pubs, clubs and taverns, sports and gaming, conference and wedding venues, auditoriums, gyms and wellness, destination restaurants, cafés, national chains, drive-thrus and airline lounges.

Asked and answered
Can a venue keep trading during a refurbishment?
Yes. By planning ahead and dividing the work into stages, trading can continue. The Broadbeach Bowls Club traded throughout its refurbishment, which was stripped back to its floor, frame and roof.
How can a redesign improve profitability?
Common fixes include combining two bars into one to reduce staffing, and rebalancing the layout across gaming, food, beverage, entertainment and accommodation. Read how redesigning can improve your bar's efficiency.
Do you design select-service and boutique hotels?
Yes. The Woodroffe Hotel in Southport is a 107-room business hotel with a café and small function spaces, designed for efficiency and profitability. It won a 2018 Master Builders Queensland award.
Do you design hospitality venues in NSW?
Yes. NSW work includes Twin Towns in Tweed Heads, the Kingscliff Beach Hotel, and Sails Resort, Rydges and Zebu Bar & Grill in Port Macquarie.
